Our Council Members

Baldip is the founder of The Sikhs in Law Association. Baldip is a specialist International Family Law Barrister at 33 Bedford Row. He sits on the Inner Temple Bar Liaison Committee and the Bar Council – International Committee. He has been advocating for increased diversity and promoting social mobility within the Bar of England and Wales.

Paul is Founding Partner and Managing Director of Noble Solicitors. Solicitor admitted in 1996. Head of the Complex Crime Unit, Higher Court Advocate, Supervisor on the Serious Fraud and Advocate panel. Former Independent Funding Adjudicator (IFA) for the MOJ, Former Chair and panel member on the Independent Costs Assessor (ICA) for the MOJ and a Duty Solicitor. SRA approved Training Principal.

Harjap has been practising UK Immigration Law since 2002. He is the “go-to” person for the UK media whenever any immigration matters need commentating on. Also known as the Immigration Guru, though his TV shows, he has made UK immigration advice accessible to the public for free and also via his free advice shows on BBC Asian Network and the majority of digital Sikh channels.

Mandeep is the Founder and CEO of KaurMaxwell. She is an experienced commercial litigator recognised for her determination, tenacity on behalf of her clients, and astute tactical approach to disputes. Mandeep is passionate about gender equality and sits as the Director of the Established Practitioners Programme.

Gurbani is a Solicitor and Legal Adviser at the Solicitors Regulation Authority. As a successful lawyer, Gurbani’s aspiration is to inspire the next generation of Sikhs into Law. Gurbani has been recognised for keeping her Sikhi values and rehit at the forefront of everything she does. She is a dedicated, reliable and active member of the Sikh community who is passionate about using her professional skillset to serve the Khalsa Panth and the wider community. Gurbani has contributed to the Sikh community in her various volunteer roles, from creating the first Sikh affirmation cards to teaching archery at her local Gurdwara.
